Feel Rawnchy!

Back in the gymnasium hon-ayyy!
My gym has a creche, if your a parent or guardian
looking to get fit again there are many options.

My twins have been in the gym creche a couple times just for an hour before but they started a couple afternoons a week at a local nursery next to my house.
Im excited i get to workout much more as this directly affects my mood and positivity.
I also have a running buggy/stroller which ive run miles in
I got the running buggy idea from this fitness model and mum to 2 boys , she has a cool website too:

and an extensive collection of workout dvds from ballet to yoga.
My dad was in the army and went away regularly for 6 months. My mum had just had my brother, when he left she was 12 stone and when he arrived home she was 8.(Shes only 5 foot too)
What a suprise that was for him seeing her so fit.She bought some home gym equipment of weights and every night when she put all three of us to bed she hit the gym and her callenetics dvd.
If you dont workout for your body at least workout for your mood!
Children as lovely as they are, are very testing on your patience and sanity.

Heres a few inspiring pics of how this fit mum fits it into her day. When the twins were younger i used to use them as weights like this they used to giggle and enjoy it so much.I would lay them beside each other and take turns :)

People say they dont have time to exercise but funnily enough these same people can tell you exactly what is going on in all the tv soaps.
Get your blood circulating and your lymph fluid moving, get rid of those dead cells, however can you feel alive!
Lots of love,
A pumped up Jen xx

Delicious Cereal

This is the only type of cereal i will have and its DELICIOUS.Not to mention so incredibly nutritious for you.Did you know regular cereals have synthetic (fake man-made) vitamins added because they are so devalued of nutrition they are not allowed to be sold as "food" (i use that term lightly) without them? Really dont grow your beautiful cells with that junk please.

Ingredients-
Freeze Dried Red Fruits from healthy-supplies.co.uk
Raw Cacao Nibs From Holland & Barrett
Bee Pollen From indigo-herbs.co.uk
Raw Buckwheat From Amazon (I soaked this overnight in water with lots of room in the bowl then dehydrated in my excalibur until crunchy. This activates the enzymes and can also be done in an oven low heat with the door ajar)

Served with chilled fresh nut milk i made myself. And here are the benefits!-

Buckwheat-
Clears out toxins.B Vitamins.Protein.Anti-Cellulite.Repairs Collagen.Stabilises Blood Sugar Levels

Mango Mania

Heres a fave you can make in 5 minutes at nighttime for a morning nutritional powerhouse for you, your family, your lovers, your flatmates.
Its basically mangoes & chia seeds.
It would work well also with bananas.
I took 3 of these huge Pakistani mangoes
and 2 smaller ones & 5 TB of chia.It really dosent matter the amount of fruit & seeds you use as the seeds expand like a gel and are tasteless so they take whatever they are mixed with.So experiment!
Let it set for at least 20 mins after blending as if u consume right away the chia will expand and rob the hydration in your body. You want it to absorb the moisture of the fruit. It will keep u full too. This will keep a couple days, chia are gret for a healthy brain, protein and for extending your life plus the shelf life of your pudding.I gave chia puddings to the twins early on also.

Lots of fruity love,
Jen xxx

The Real Fast Food

We are still in the weaning in stage of nursery so i have even less time at the minute as i have to be there with the twins.Im on a mission to eat more greens to detox, slow down ageing and to be more vibrant.
Heres the real fast food-

1/2 Bag of washed &prepared spinach (Popeye knew what he was doing here for protein)
Some sliced radishes (or whatever u like)
2 TB Hemp seeds sprinkled (protein & beauty food)

Dressing mixed together of-
2 Tb tahini (calcium, protein)
1 TB raw apple cider vinegar (alkalising)
1 TB Manuka Honey (Healing)
Sprinkle sea salt or himalayan salt (mineral rich)
Pinch of Cayenne Pepper or a BBQtype  seasoning (I used Inspiralled Raw Mexicana flakes)
1 TB lemon Juice (alkalising, liver cleansing, great for skin)

...And a highly nourishing coconut water
For the twins i threw in a high speed blender-

Flesh of 1 coconut (that i drank)
Handful of Spinach
2 Ripe Bananas
1 TB ManukaHoney
2 TB Hemp Seeds

Bon Appetit!

Chocolate Chips

Here is a good chocolate replacement.Carob is kid friendly as it is high in protein, iron & calcium and contains no caffeine. These carob chips are also unsweetened.I take these out as bribery snacks and sometimes mix in some freeze dried fruit.I think i got both from healthy-supplies.co.uk.The freeze dried strawberries are particularly delicious!

With freeze dried black berries..

Lots of love,

Nuts For Coconuts 🌴

Absolutely BUZZING my greengrocer got me real coconuts for the same price i pay in Tescos for tins.It has made my year! There is fresh coconut meat in here i can mix in smoothies, puddings, maybe a pina colada or coconut yoghurt or even coconut milk, living enzymes and hydrating real water. It just dosent compare!I drank 1 litre of vitacoco every day of my pregnancy and after for various
reasons. The taste of real coconut water just does not compare to the tinned. It is exceptionally good for digestion issues such as constipation, it replaces your lost salts from diarrhoea and is a better isotonic drink for exercise than any other sports drink. It is a lovely tonic for the skin and for dropping unwanted retention.
Excuse my sons grubby appearance he is just up from a nap and about to get ready for nursery.
Here is our 1st time at nursery:
And later for a dinner pudding i blended the flesh of 2 coconuts with 4 frozen bananas & vanilla extract for raw coconut icecream.I gave the kids theirs in the bath and there are other pots for myself, brother & husband. My fella said "10/10 im not sharing with the kids" lol.Being a twin himself he actually dosent like to share but good job the twins had their own.

Lots of love,
A hydrated Jen xxx 🌴🌴🌴

Breakfast

Good morning.A quick post on breakfast in our house. The twins start nursery today. In so happy for the fun, learning & new friends they are going to make but im also happy to get some normality together again.I will have more time to throw together some more advanced raw foods that take a bit of time pre-soaking, sprouting and such. And to get to catch up on washing and general house chores.I need a break, all my family live in Scotland & my husband works away.I don't have anyone to take them for a few hours a week so this is going to save my sanity. We are needing a shopping trip so today was what was kicking about. They had some banana, flaxseed, purple corn, lettuce smoothie that i had made last night, some kiwi (Romeos fave), fresh vanilla almond milk, gluten free toast that i spread tahini (calcium and protein), a squirt of agave nectar and a sprinkle of himalayan pink salt (mineral rich) and they had a few mouthfuls of Lizzi's mango & macadamia granola i mixed together with   some nut milk leftover.I have 3kg of buckwheat i am going to turn into raw chocolate buckwheat granola this week (its sooo good and nutritional), i am really looking forward to that.
The wedding was amazing.
How beautiful is my friend? She had a baby shortly before the twins how great does she look!
She also kindly pre-organised with me about vegan'ing the wedding meal for myself but it is pretty easy to just drop out a couple things, i had french onion soup, the BEST (butternut squash) curry id ever had in my life and poached apricots and dates for dessert in a syrup.
Also i got a sample of a new bottle shape i am trying out for Rawnchy.I quite like the more square look!

Anyway i look forward to sharing my kitchen creations and speeding up the launch of Rawnchy.
Lots of love,
Jen xxx

Rawnchy Balls

I make nut 'mylk' every night as it goes fast in this house & theres always pulp leftover.A really good idea is to make chocolate balls out of them. You can get the pulp together, throw in a few spoonfuls of either cacao powder, carob or cocoa.(I used carob as it is kid friendly. It is full of calcium, iron&protein.Cacao has huge benefits but is very high in energy which my kids have enough of recently thanks!)
Throw in some pitted dates that you've chopped up in the food processor and a good squirt of agave nectar and you are good to go.You don't even need leftover pulp if you didn't want to, ground almonds or any other nuts/seeds you have will do the trick.
Romeo is drinking his lovely fresh frothy almond milk and ive flavoured it vanilla creme, this was part of his breakfast. He also had his purple smoothie i blogged about last night & some kiwi which is his favourite.
The kid cracks me up.Here is him drinking his smoothie in the dark before the sun comes up ...

and how he likes to sometimes eat...
"Don't come to me, I come to you!"
I will be providing different flavoured balls in the Rawnchy line.A more delicious nutritious snack than your regular supermarket junk.
Lots of love,
Jens balls xxx

Purple Corn

What a day.I spotted boy twins back molar today like an iceburg tip so at least its on its way in.I have one of my best's wedding tomorrow.Husband is working from 5pm-7.30am tonight, everyone needs to be chilled the fuck out tomorrow or shit is going DOWN with mother missing & dancing it up like shes been out once this year...Oh wait she has.A night out in Feb and a mini break in Abu Dhabi.I tend to get carried away, its my personality lol.My fave superfood for chilling is lovely purple corn extract. You feel dreamy on this. The first time i tried it recently i felt like i wanted to hold a yoga class in my living room to passing strangers and give out free hugs after.Lets hope theres hugs alround whilst im at the wedding.I did put alot in for me but for the twins it was only a tiny 1/8th tsp.I made fresh almond milk (if you dont know how to milk an almond - google.Your not part of the cool gang if your not making your own live nutritious milk) and blended bananas, a good dashing of the purple stuff, stevia vanilla creme drops and some shilajit which is a body mineraliser for my twinnies healthy bones and teeth.oh some romaine lettuce to get their greens in and a little spirulina because i add that protein powerhouse to everything.
This cup looks small but its pretty big, they can finish 1.5 of these between them for breakfast on non-teething days.On days like this they dont want much so i like to make sure every bite counts for their nutrition in those tiny bellies.Purple corn is full of health and wellness benefits and there is not a great deal of purple foods eaten in the standard diet. (Cabbage, purple onion etc)It is a high vibrational food and a cool colour for kiddies.
Lots of love,
A big purple Jen xxx

Seaweed Beauty Soup

Quickie whilst i am catching up on tv! I let sky + record all my faves, let them build up a few weeks then have a trashy tv-athon.My nights are busy with rawnchy foods & drinks preps for the next day, the twins shenanigans , exercise and general housekeeping so i dont watch tv at all.Again this is my version of Daras youtube recipe.

Heated up filtered water-
I added chopped garlic, Onion powder, spinach, chopped up nori sheets (that u wrap sushi in), cayenne, himalayan pink salt (mineral rich),nutritional yeast flakes (a cheese replacement containing B12 which we are ALL deficient in as it comes from the soil), turmeric (a mile long list of benefits please google!), then i added some dulse and wakame seaweed i bought a while ago that ive never been brave enough to eat in a salad but turned out amazing in this!

I then blended it into a warm drink.Soooo nice! Comforting, nourishing & really tasty.

Seaweed is great for digestive health, high in nutrients, low in calories, may improve heart health by lowering blood pressure, has heavy duty detox properties, may help regulate hormones,it is reported to be what keeps japanese women slim with lustrous hair and glowing complexions. An all round tonic for a pick me up or after illness!

On the go with Kim K

I am an ex-hairdresser.QUITE some time ago so dont ask me how to colour correct your home dye job.Not a scooby.Ive been getting hair extensions since i was a 16 year old junior. That makes it 12 years.Ive tried it all, my latest was a lace front wig.Think beyonce & Tara Banks.

But i tried to remove the glue myself.DONT EVER.That stuff is not meant to come off which is why Beyonces hair stayed in place (and she kept singing! professional!) whilst she recently got it caught in a fan performing.I am now the owner of one receding hairline at one of my temples.I need a break.Whats wrong with the old fashioned growing your hair? So i went to see my buddy Nat at Hobs in Loughton. My inspo was Kim Kardashian

as i naturally had the ombre thing going on from hiding my head under a wig so long.I know i know! Im late to the ombre trend but hey im fashionably late? Another long afternoon sitting in a chair so i threw together a little food bag in the 0.5 seconds i had.Heres what i took-

The green drink (that tastes of chocolate vanilla) that oxygenates you for beauty, health & weight loss that i blogged about in yesterdays post.Word of warning if you take it in a 1 litre mason jar like i do people WILL ask you why you are drinking pond.BUT its also a great conversation starter.Another hairdresser told me how he went to Thailand for a month cleanse at a michelin star raw food resort after he spotted me gulping the familiar murky liquid he has drunk himself.
Some mini oranges which are also great internal cleansers.Hence the reason cleaning kitchen sprays love to base theirs on oranges.
Also i am really getting into minerals at the minute.90% of the bodys functions are run on minerals. Our soil is depleted from farming methods of pesticides and pollution, even our organic is not as mineral rich as it used to be.Seaweeds are amazing for beauty. You can buy seagreens capsules or i add teeny bits of kelp powder (from rawliving.eu) to ALL of my twins superfood pots. The taste is masked by other things.I had a few sachets of Clearspring Organic Miso Soup (non gmo) which contains wakame seaweed so i thought what a better warming drink on a rainy day than a regular cuppa at the salon.Nourishing and all i got to ask for is some hot water.
I also threw in some bee pollen granules and goji berries into a pot which are superfoods to the highest degree!
Goji berries is one of the only known food sources that naturally increase/support your human growth hormone. This is a hormone you release when your asleep which decreases with age and is responsible for keeping you pretty and healthy sista! It also is one of the top plant based protein sources.
Bee pollen from what i can remember, (if i wrong do correct me ) is what the Queen bee consumes that makes her live umpteen times longer than the other bees.
It is an energy and nutritive tonic in chinese medicine. It has many health benefits and considered natures "fountain of youth".Knock it back girl...(or guy!)
I also grabbed a raw chocolate brownie bar i got in bulk from Amazon. To tell you the truth the drink is pretty filling, not sure if i will eat it.Raw chocolate is totally mineral packed also but thats a whole other post.
Id really like to start using organic colours on my hair but thats a bit more research i have to do and im pushed for time with one of my besties wedding in 2 days (She also has a son 5-6 weeks older than my twins so we were bump buddies.I owe my simple natural twin labour to her.She gave me a step by step truthful warts & all guide as i hadnt even been to a class as i had a c-section booked). My first friend getting married, pass the tissues!
Anyway heres a before and after:

I am posting this so you can pick up ideas for how i try to keep healthy/raw on the go with a busy life.i would appreciate your ideas also! My aim with Rawnchy is to eventually provide these kinds of snacks needed for on the go.
Lots of love,
A more groomed Jen xx

A Greener Jen

Today we ventured the 1.5 hr drive to Bicester Designer Shopping Outlet Village.

Everythings reduced. If the twins weren't desperate for winter coats & clothes (they are wearing their new ones above) i wouldn't have bothered as they really are suffering both with their gums.Queenie has 3 teeth coming in at once (taking it to 7) whereas Romeo has so many teeth already i cant get in there to look but last time i checked he has was halfway through his big 4 molars.Hes pretty much not far off being done.
Shopping isn't fun anymore,we made it to only one shop after a lunch/change nappies/stretch legs pitstop before we then went home, i even laughed with a woman as she proudly told me she was shopping alone 1st time without her kids as mine were playing pass the parcel of who they wanted to hold them like indecisive clinging monkeys. But secretly I wanted to push her into the mannequins and ask if she was enjoying her shopping now. That'll teach her.
I had prepared the night before like i do most nights for food for the monkeys.I made fresh nut milk like i do each day (everyone drinks this faster than i can make it), a maca choc banana smoothie with the milk for the twins breakfast and cookies with the leftover nut milk pulp.I stuck these in the dehydrator overnight, my brother liked them the twins did not.Ah well it happens.I took along a few snacks and i always carry a filling superfood packed smoothie but generally they dont want to eat with teeth pains.I don't blame them.I also made this drink below for some energy and inner body oxygen to take away with me i had watched the night before..

alkalizing detoxifying oxygenating vanilla chlorophyll chia smoothie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6yCbFlv7Ks&sns=tw via @youtube

But i didn't prepare myself enough for the day.As most parents know you always leave yourself last and i grabbed some food from Pret A Manger. Its quite a good place, the food is fresh and has some organic but your standard sandwich (even though i had vegan) bloats me instantly & occasionally i get hives.i have scratched my skin off my ankles before.I am intolerant to gluten and with the sandwich i had a butternut squash soup. Then later as we left my husband and brother wanted a drive thru Mc'Ds to eat on the way home. They respect how i eat and i respect theirs. They are both pretty much almost entirely vegan but out on the go they eat the general stuff they used to (even though they feel tired.acid in the throat, toilet troubles after but hey its their own health journey) so i had some chips & a veggie wrap.More gluten.More cooked foods which make me tired as they drain the body of water.I don't know what heating up methods have been used in the food i have eaten out today but someone somewhere along the line has used a microwave.I know this because when i eat microwaved food i get a tiggle of a sore throat, nothing major but my body does NOT like it.We don't even own a microwave anymore for health reasons but the best way to sort out feeling shitty is to flood yourself with oxygenating alkalising greens.I can pretty much feel better within a couple hours eating the way i do, sometimes a green juice i can feel the goodness instantly. It didn't help we spent the entire journey in his borrowed banger of a car which has the heating broken by being on full blast.DEHYDRATION some more? I felt like a raisin when i got out. (and yes we had carseats today hooray)
After we got the poorly tots home i threw together an enriching green drink (by the way the twins pretty much have a little of everything i consume throughout the day so they are constantly indulging with me from every health thing i make. They've been drinking through straws from 10 months so drinks are their favourite and race each other push and shove went they spot mother with cup)..with a child on my hip and the other jumping on the bed upstairs in excitement at just the prospect of being alive (Lively bugger.Dad was upstairs too not to worry). I wasn't much hungry but i wanted to not feel ill tomorrow. My body has gotten much cleaner over the years so i really can feel the difference in vibrational energy mentally & physically when i eat even just one meal that wasn't my usual raw vegan. Its not about being good or bad its about how good do i want to feel.
Here's what i did-

I juiced: pineapple,lime,spinach,celery,apple,broccoli stem

Blended with:
A small piece of Avocado
1 TB organic liquid chlorophyll
(u can mix this in orange juice if you like.one of the easiest best things you can do for your health if you smoke, drink, party, take meds etc.Dara even explains it in her video above.)
1/2 tsp Msm Crystal Powder
(Detoxifier, anti-inflammatory, anti-parastic, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal.Also beneficial for skin conditions.I suffer from acne when i eat processed foods.I class this as medicine and keep it in the medicine cabinet as it is so good.I give some to the twins daily.Shazzie (a raw mum, author with a huge company and a presenter on uks 1st raw tv channel) from detoxyourworld says in her book "raising ecstatic children" (buy it.its amazing even if only for yourself) if her child had a nut allergy she would carry a bag around with her of this.I gave my brother some after a wasp sting in the garden and his painful sting pretty much went away very quickly)

And i threw down the hatch a handful of chlorella and spirulina tablets i buy in bulk from an organic company. Both contain protein, are immune building, and detoxify.Chlorella actually helps with radiation as it binds itself to toxins and metals which will release out the body.Particularly helpful i read if you eat fish or smoke.
Again i am not a doctor i have over the last 7 years been on a health journey i have learnt from experiences on.The most intense have been the last 3 which ive learnt the most with ivf, twin pregnancy, weaning & raising my little ones.I don't have time for complicated meals and i want to feel amazing so i am so happy i found this lifestyle.Pretty much everything is made by chucking in a blender.Meals in a minute

I got my msm from indigo-herbs.co.uk, chlorella & spirulina tablets from amazon and my liquid chlorophyll i forget where but probably amazon also.
I hope these posts help others as it is because of other bloggers, tweeters and   instagrammers i have found this way to feel my best.Ive been doing this quite some time and have built up my kitchen stock of ingredients which now i don't buy processed foods is actually not much extra cost but you can do so much for your health with just a few items from your greengrocer. It really dosent have to be all potions and pennies.
Lots of love,
A greener Jen xx

P.S on a green note i got talking to a fresh wheatgrass supplier for rawnchys green detox juices whilst in the back between the snoozing kids and have just sent my idea for the rawnchy logo for my graphic designer friend to review over the next couple of weeks.I hope to share with you soon x
